Stay close, stay private

You're closer than you think.

Small World nudges you when someone you care about happens to be nearby — and shows your location to no one, not even us.

Free to download. No ads. We never sell your data.

How it works

Three steps, then forget about it.

  1. Step 1

Tether with people you actually know

Send a link or scan a code. There's no directory, no strangers, no follower count. Only people you've both agreed to.

  2. Step 2

Choose how close you let them in

Five levels, from Remote to Inner Circle. Each one decides how near someone has to be before it's worth telling you.

  3. Step 3

Get a nudge, not a map

When you're both close by, you both hear about it. That's the whole thing. No dot to stare at, no feed to scroll.

Tether levels

Five degrees of “come say hi”.

Every connection sits at a level you pick, and you can change it whenever you like. The more private setting always wins when two people have chosen differently.

  • RemoteNo nearby alerts — only when you're travelling together.
  • CasualLight reach — for people you know but rarely see.
  • FriendBalanced reach for everyday friends.
  • CloseCloser alerts for people you're often near.
  • Inner CircleYour inner circle — alerts from farthest away.

Only you see the level you picked. Theirs is theirs.

Who it's for

For the friends you keep meaning to see.

You know the ones. You like them enormously. You've said “we should get coffee” four times this year. Then you both happen to be in the same part of town on a Tuesday and neither of you has any idea.

Small World is for that Tuesday.

The short version

What Small World isn’t

  • Not a tracker

There's no map of dots, no location history, no “where were you at six”.

  • Not a social network

No feed, no strangers, no numbers that go up.

  • Not an advertising business

We can't read your location, so there's nothing to sell — and we never will.

We didn't write a policy promising to behave. We built it so we can't misbehave.

Your location is encrypted before it's stored, there's no history to leak, and Stealth mode means genuinely invisible.
